Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are the oldest and most championed franchise in the AFC. The team has appeared in six Super Bowls and is one
of three teams to have won the Super Bowl five times. They have appeared in thirteen Conference Championship Games, and have
hosted more conference championship games than any other NFL franchise. They are the only team in NFL playoff history to win
a Super Bowl after being seeded sixth in the playoffs, winning three consecutive games on the road followed by a Super Bowl
victory in Detroit on February 5, 2006 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Pittsburgh Pirates

The team now known as the Pittsburgh Pirates started in Pittsburgh in 1876 and were known as the " Alleghenys" Most
of the teams of the era were "independents," touring throughout the region and not affiliated with any organized
league. In 1882 the baseball team in the city joined the American Association as a founding member. After five mediocre seasons
in the A.A., Pittsburgh became the first A.A. team to switch to the older, more respectable National League in 1887. Eventually
they adopted their present knickname in 1891.
Over the course of their 130 year existence they have had several era's of glory and been involved with some of the greatest
moments in baseball's history. A few prominent moments in pirate history include participating in the very first World Series,
being the first franchise to win a World Series on a home run (1960 World Series), and being in the first baseball gam
ever broadcast on radio (August 5, 1921).
They have won 5 World Championships and participated in 9 World Series. They also boast 34 Hall of Fame players in team
history.

Founded during the massive NHL expansion of 1967 the Penguins have won 2 Stanley Cups and 5 divisions titles during their
heyday of the early 90's under the leadership of legend Mario Lemieux.

New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are one of the only two founding members of the original NBA to still remain in its original city. Founded
in 1946, they have remained one of the most recognizable sports franchises of American history. They hold several distinctions
including winning the first game in NBA history, being the only 8th seed in NBA history to make the NBA finals,8 Conference
championships and 2 NBA World Titles.
